Luisa Dörr (b. 1988) has become known internationally in the last year. She was selected as one of twelve participants for the prestigious World Press Joop Swart Masterclass in 2016. She is a member of the photo agency VII’s mentor program.

Joakim Eskildsen

Joakim Eskildsen (b. 1971) trained with the Royal Court photographer Mrs. Rigmor Mydtskov before attending the University of Art and Design in Helsinki, where he learned the craft of bookmaking with Jyrki Parantainen and Pentti Sammallahti. He is currently producing three photobook projects and exhibitions: American Realities, Cuban Evolution, and Home Works. Eskildsen lives and works in Berlin.

"Going Beyond the Headlines".
Malin Riley is cultural/exhibition manager at Kontinent Agency & representative of NOOR Images in the Nordic Region. In 2015 the Agency began its Cultural program. Designed to go beyond the published image. Through Kontinent Culture, it is hoped that a wider audience will gain a deeper understanding of stories in need of all our attention.

World Press Photo 2015 winner has been covering the 2015 - 2016 and now 2017 displaced refugee crises and has walked through Europe together with people searching for a place to settle down. He lives on the streets of Oslo for months at a time together with people addicted to heroin, to tell their story. Warren will give us an insight into some of his methods.

The last year picture editor in VG Helg has been traveling across Europe working on a project documenting people on the far right side. The project "White Rage” was published in a special edition of  the weekend supplement VG Helg and online in VG+.

Damon Winter (b. 1971) has worked for numerous American publications, including Newsweek. Winter joined The New York Times in 2007 after three years as a staff photographer at The Los Angeles Times.

Peter van Agtmael (b. 1981) is a member of the prestigious photo agency Magnum and is one of the world's most sought after photojournalists. He has just published his second book, Buzzing at the Sill, about the causal effects of America’s warfare abroad the last ten years.

Oslo Radiobio presents «Everything that can go wrong...will». Harald Frøysa is the last bard in Norway. Anything can go wrong when radiojournalism is brought to the stage as Frøysa acts out his actual own life story on-stage. One actor, honest and crude. The performance is accompanied by an illustrator and set to commissioned live music. Developed and produced by Peter Daatland at the independent podcast collective Frekvens, with support from Fritt Ord.

What value does the  photobook have today? Peter van Agtmael, Joakim Eskildsen og Jonas Bendiksen in a conversation about the photobook in a time when digital pictures dominate. Why is the printed books still the preferred medium of many documentary photographers?

Glenna Gordon (b. 1981) is American and has worked for years in West Africa. She reports regularly from the region for, among others, The New York Times and Time Magazine. Gordon received a World Press Photo award, the world’s most prestigious photo competition, for her coverage of the kidnapped schoolgirls.

JONAS BENDIKSEN / MAGNUM PHOTOS

The Norwegian photographer Jonas Bendiksen (b.1977) started his career as a 19 year old learning the ropes of the industry at Magnums London office. After having worked there as an intern for a year, he went to Russia in order to become a photographer on his own. This journey led to his first book Satellites (Aperture 2006) and soon after his second book and multimedial project The Places We Live (Aperture 2008). Bendiksen became an official member of Magnum in 2004.
